Josie Nugent, a native of Co. Clare, is a multiple All-Ireland fiddle champion and has regularly featured on the festival circuit. On The Caves of Cong, she teams up with Derry uilleann piper Brian Stafford to deliver a rich repertoire of airs and tunes lifted from Ireland’s ancient music collections. The result is a broad mix of rhythms and melodies with inspired and sympathetic arrangements.

BBC Radio 2’s Musician of the Year 2012, Tim Edey is a multi-instrumentalist and singer, and has toured the world with many of the major names in folk music, including The Chieftains, Christy Moore and Sharon Shannon.

Tim’s live shows are a stunning mix of world music inspired instrumental virtuosity and passion, with a strong Celtic theme, supported by a selection of guest performers known as ‘The Tim Edey Collective’.

Join us for a fantastic weekend in the Gaeltacht this November. This is a fantastic opportunity to practice your Irish and enjoy a fun and entertainment packed weekend with the Cultúrlann community. As part of the trip, we will attend Rónán Mac Aoidh’s famous monthly variety show Cabaret Craiceáilte, live at Teach Hiúdaí Beag on Saturday 28th November.

Our season concludes with a special festive concert to awaken the Christmas spirit. Cultúrlann Uí Chanáin will host traditional Irish Christmas evening at The Glassworks.
